WHAT PEOPLE COME IN FOR
Usually something they've already fought alone for years.
Fear of Flying
Missed vacations, strained work travel, avoided family visits. Hypnosis addresses the subconscious root of the response.
Weight and eating habits
Less about a diet, more about the automatic reach when you aren't hungry.
Driving Anxiety
Whether it's highways, bridges, or getting behind the wheel after an accident, driving anxiety lives in the subconscious.
Sleep
For minds that can’t shut off or won't stop narrating at two in the morning. Hypnosis improves relaxation in all areas.
Relationships
Feel like it’s all falling apart? Family drama, breakups? Feel calm, resolute, and thrive during this transition.
Confidence and public speaking
Interviews, presentations, performances, hard conversations.
Quitting smoking or vaping
Often the fastest category. The habit lives below decision-making, which is exactly where we work.
Anxiety & Stress
A gentle, trauma-informed approach to processing experiences that still hold power over your daily life.
Book a session or hop on a call to find out how hypnosis can help you.
SEE YOURS ON THE LIST?
Can I be hypnotized?
Entering hypnosis isn't a rare talent. It's closer to a natural skill you can improve, based on your unique learning style.
QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK BEFORE BOOKING
Ask me the ones you feel silly asking.
-
You almost certainly aren't. Hypnosis isn't a talent some people have and others don't. It's a state every functioning mind can enter, and most people enter it several times a day without noticing.
If you've ever lost an hour in a book, cried at a film you knew was fiction, or driven home on autopilot, you've already done it. My job is to take you there on purpose and put it to work. The analytical people who are sure it won't work on them often go the deepest, because they're the ones paying real attention.
-
No. You keep your values, your judgment, and your ability to refuse the entire time. A suggestion that conflicts with what you actually want simply doesn't take.
What you've seen on a stage is a handful of extroverted volunteers who signed up specifically to do that. Same state, very different purpose.
-
You'll be awake and you'll remember it. "Hypnosis" comes from the Greek word for sleep, which was a naming error we've been stuck with for two centuries.
You'll feel heavy, calm, and unusually focused. Some people are briefly disappointed that they heard every word. That's normal, and it's working.
-
Most issues clear up in three to eight sessions. Smoking cessation is typically three sessions for a pack-a-day smoker.
Sessions are $200 with a 20% discount for seniors 65+, police, fire, military, social workers, medical professionals, teachers, and students of all ages.
Ask about session packages.
-
Yes. If I stopped talking and walked out, you'd drift into an ordinary nap or open your eyes within a few minutes.
The most common side effects of hypnosis are better concentration and an increased ability to relax.
What matters is who's guiding you and how they handle what comes up. That's what a thousand hours of accredited training is for.
-
No. Nothing about the process asks you to adopt any belief or worldview. Hypnosis is a natural state of consciousness, just like sleep, not a practice or a doctrine. I use your goals and your language. Hypnosis works by getting your conscious mind and subconscious mind on the same page.
-
I'm a certified hypnotist, not a physician or licensed therapist, so I don't diagnose or treat medical and psychological conditions. For anything in that category I work alongside your doctor or licensed provider, on their referral.
Plenty of what people bring me — habits, fears, confidence, focus, stress — sits comfortably outside that line. If yours doesn't, I'll tell you straight and help you find the right person.
-
Both. I see clients off Bethal Road in Columbus, and work over video with people across Ohio and beyond. Online works just as well with a quiet hour, a door that closes, and headphones.
I always recommend in-person sessions, and some clients prefer the familiarity of their own space.
-
That describes most of the people who sit in my chair, and the woman who hadn't driven a freeway in 19 years. Willpower operates on the conscious mind. Cravings, fears, and reflexes don't live there. That mismatch is the entire reason "just decide to stop" fails so reliably for so many capable people.
Bring me the list of what you've tried. It tells me where to start.
What clients say.

“I have had a debilitating fear of flying my entire adult life. The flying experience always included extreme dread beforehand, trembling, sweating palms, and involuntary crying during a flight. After three sessions with Jennifer, I was able to fly without dread, fear, or anxiety. I was even able to look out the window and enjoy the view, and now I actually look forward to traveling.”

“I’m happy Jennifer helped me to quit smoking! I knew it would be painfully hard to quit cold turkey, so I was impressed how positive the whole experience was. She’s smart and supportive. I followed her instructions and it worked great!”

“I had been to a few other places and none of them gave me the time and effort as she did. She cares about her clients, makes sure she understands and works with you… She never rushes you out the door, and always makes you feel welcome.”

Tune Into You
WHO YOU’D BE SITTING WITH
I'm Jennifer Davoust. I've done this over a thousand times.
Most people come in a little embarrassed. They've had this thing for years, they know it doesn't make sense, and they've usually been told to just push through it. That's the first thing I take off the table. There's nothing wrong with you, and you won't have to explain yourself twice.
I trained at the Hypnosis Motivation Institute in Los Angeles — the only nationally accredited college of hypnotherapy in the United States — and completed over a thousand hours of training. Seven years and several hundred clients later, the thing that still surprises people is how normal it feels. You sit down. We talk. You close your eyes. Nothing strange happens. And a few weeks later, the thing that used to happen just doesn't.
I work in person in Columbus and online with people anywhere.
